Mission Statement

 “This police department was established by the people of this city and exists to provide service to the city.  The department's mission statement describes both the fundamental reason for existing and general activities in which the department will engage.” 

 “The mission of this department is to enhance the quality of life in this city by working cooperatively with the public to prevent crime, enforce the law, preserve the peace and provide a safe environment.” 

“This police department enforces the law in a positive manner, thereby reducing crime and traffic problems while preserving the peace and dignity of the community.” 

“The mission of this department is to instill a sense of pride and dignity in all fellow citizens by maintaining a peaceful and orderly community.  The department strives to uphold the laws that are created to guarantee a free and equitable existence for all through the following:

• Safeguarding the personal possessions and property of the community
• Being a viable entity in the community by serving the public in a manner of professional, understanding and compassion for human problems and needs
