End Date/Time: Saturday, February 25, 2012
Recurring Event: One time event
Importance: Normal Priority
Description:
Utility Payments Due
In an effort to improve efficiencies within our utility department,
we will be implementing a $10.00 late fee on all accounts that are
past due. As the utility bill is due by the 25
th
 of each month, residents
will receive a 10-day grace period to allow for payment. The late fee
will not be added until the 5
th
of the following month. Fees will begin
on February 5, 2012 on all accounts past due at that time. We believe that this will help to reduce the amount of past due accounts
thus reducing time and money spent on collection of these accounts.
For those seeking an easier, stress free way of paying your utility
bill there are many options. The most secure, cost effective way for
both residents and Syracuse City is to sign up for  the Electronic
Funds Transfer. This option is provided at no cost to the resident or
the city. All that is needed to participate is the  EFT form and a
voided check. Forms can be obtained on the city website or at the
city offices. Bills can also be paid by cash, check, or money order. We also accept Visa or Mastercard which can be paid
online by visiting our website at www.syracuseut.com or over the phone at 801-825-1477. A drop box can be found in
front of the city office next to the blue mail boxes.
We truly appreciate our residents and the efforts made to pay in a timely manner.
